WIMIN Auction at WMIC 2017


Join the Women in Molecular Imaging Network (WIMIN) Interest Group at the first-ever Auction at WMIC 2017

Bring your knowledge, science and artistic abilities to the 10th annual World Molecular Imaging Congress in Philadelphia, September 13-16, 2017. The Women in Molecular Imaging Network (WIMIN) Interest Group invites you to participate in the first-ever auction event at WMIC by donating an original piece of art, including but not limited to the following: paintings, sculptures, photographs, quilts, handmade jewelry, pottery, and other handmade goods. The auction will begin with all donated items on display onsite at WMIC all week open for bidding and will end with an auction event on Friday evening, September 15th. Don’t miss out on the first-ever auction hosted at WMIC, Where Life, Science and WIMIN Meet…at WMIC. All proceeds will go directly towards funding education for women in molecular imaging sciences. Details on the Auction Event – 

Date: Friday, September 15th

Time: 7:15 – 8:45 pm (bidding ends at 8:30 pm)

Location: Pennsylvania Convention Center (breezeway area between exhibit hall and sessions hall)

Refreshments provided.


Rules & Regulations:

  1. Registration to donate items opens Thursday, March 23, 2017. The deadline to submit your item is 11:59 pm PST on September 8, 2017.
  2. All submissions will undergo review by the WIMIN leadership committee and/or WMIS staff. You will be notified if your submission was not accepted for any reason.
  3. There is no limit to the number of items submitted for auction. Please donate as many items as you’d like to help benefit women in science.
  4. If you commit to donating an item, you will be responsible for bringing the item to WMIC to be displayed onsite in the breezeway area between the exhibit hall and sessions hall on Wednesday, Sept. 13th. The purchaser of the item will be responsible for shipping the item home from WMIC. If you cannot physically bring your item to WMIC, please contact Lauren Whitman at lwhitman@wmis.org with special circumstances.
